After lots of extremely helpful feedback from my pattern testers and 3 revisions later, my first pattern is officially on the market. I have it listed for sale on Etsy at my store, 7LayerShop, and the first 20 copies I sell will be at the discounted price of $7. After those are sold I plan on selling them for $10 because it's such a comprehensive pattern with so many different options, and I have put quite a bit of work into putting it together.
It has been a much longer journey than I anticipated, but I have learned a lot and my successive patterns will be much easier to do now that I have the format established and a better idea of what people are looking for in a pattern. I haven't actually purchased a pattern in years and years (I just make them up myself) and I had never seen a PDF pattern, so I wasn't sure what was expected. My pattern testers helped me out so much, I'm very grateful for their advice and input. Thanks, ladies!
As you can see, since so many of you wrote in requesting a PDF format, that's what I ended up doing. I changed the cover designs to fit a vertical format and everything flows really well now. I'm excited to share it will you! Does anybody out there still want a paper copy of this pattern instead of a downloadable PDF? When I get 3 or 4 of my patterns done I plan on printing them and will hopefully get picked up by a distributor, so at that point I'll need to produce hard copies of my patterns for selling in quilt shops.
First things first, though. So hop on over to my shop (if you feel so inclined) and pick up your PDF copy of my very first pattern. I hope you enjoy it!
GOOD LUCK!!! I love your bags and crafts.
You have a lot talent.

o i got it now for some reason the link for the seven layers shop takes you to a page where the item is already sold, but if you click on the link in the left that says "1 item for sale" and click on the pattern it then allows you to purchase it. cant wait to give this a try.
