Peeking in to say hello from Oregon! My parents have been saving their big boxes for the grandkids to make a castle in the woods.
They thoroughly enjoyed the experience, can you tell?
My sister Tricia and her kids came over too, and we all had a great time making tunnels and turrets, drawbridges and lookouts.
They even had a password for entry and exit from the castle: "AMAZING"
Hazel, of course, had a hard time with the password but most of the time the other kids let it slide.
And sometimes she just had to muscle her way through.
My kids had a great time playing with their cousins. As you can see, they have a lot of creative energy.
Tomorrow morning we head to the airport! We've been on the road for 3 whole weeks now, and while it's great to visit with our loved ones, it's going to be wonderful to be settled back home. I have much more to post, but again it's late and I simply don't have the time in Slow Internet Land.
Now if I can just survive that flight across country (with one layover, to make things even more exciting) with my 3 rambunctious little companions, whose motto appears to be "I will never sleep on an airplane, especially if Mommy is traveling without Daddy." Wish me luck! I'm SOOO going to need it.
You're gonna be fine on the plane, I just know it! You are making some really incredible memories for your children, good for you! My 6 year old son has been making a vacation list (basically if he sees a commercial for Montana, that goes on the list) and I would love to take them everywhere! But at the same time, I dread a trip to the grocery store!! Ah, children. The joys outweigh everything else, right? Hurry home to speedy internet land so we can see everything else!
