As we get ready to move and search for a place to live in Virginia, I'm very grateful for all the tools available to us via the internet to make that searching possible. I'm a huge fan of Live Search Maps, as they provide satellite images in both aerial and bird's eye views of whatever address you type into their system. I can see what each house looks like, what their yard looks like, and the tiny little bugs crawling on their roof (ha ha, just kidding...it's not that good! Thank goodness.)
I've been using Live Search quite a bit in the past few months, first to search for homes to buy (when our house was in escrow and we were all set) and now to search for rentals because our house fell out of escrow and everything is up in the air. I sure hope the financial gurus get things figured out soon, because the housing market is not bouncing back nearly as quickly as people had hoped. You can see my previous posts as to why the housing market crashed in the first place. Now we're all struggling to pick up the pieces. Which is only going to get more difficult in the next 4 years to come...but ANYWAY...
Technology is amazing, and the tiny fraction of it that I am capable of using is very much appreciated. Hurray for satellite imaging.
Are you guys moving soon? I bet you are so excited. Good luck with your house - we've been there...or should I say we are there.
