I was taking pictures of Eliza's new skirt that I made from Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom collection, and she kept wanting to twirl for the pictures. It's a great skirt to twirl in, because it's so full. Then Hyrum wanted to join in on the fun, so he and Eliza had a great time spinning and twirling around. I remember doing that too when I was a kid, it was so much fun. Now I turn around 2 or 3 times and I'm totally sick and dizzy for hours after. Hmmm....what's up with that?
I guess I'll have to leave the twirling to the kids. It's fun to watch them get so dizzy they start crashing into the bushes, all the while giggling like crazy. Kids have a lot to teach us about the simple pleasures in life, don't they?
Here's a still-shot version of Eliza's current favorite skirt. I love how those fabrics look together, I can't wait for Sandi's new Farmer's Market line to get here! Parts of it sold out before it even became widely available, I'm eagerly awaiting the backordered stock.
Fabric is definitely one of my worst (or best?) weaknesses.
What fun I remember loving to twirl too, but I'm like you couldn't do it know if I wanted to. Your kids are precious, and the skirt is beautiful. Hope you have a great week.
Blessings, Karen

I love the fabric. That is a great skirt. I remember that when I was little I would have to test a skirt's twirlability before committing to have my mom or grandma buy it! Too fun!

Eliza looks like she's about to crack the whip big time with Hyrum. How's his arm? Yes, I can't believe I don't have a sewing machine, either. I'm glad you told me you are happy with the $300 level. I thought I'd have to go at least $700 to get a reliable machine. I would be happy with a good straight stitch. I'm not big into the embroidery or computerized stuff either.
