"Friends are the flowers in the garden of life."
Has anybody ever heard that quote before? I don't know who said it, but it was embroidered on a vintage hand towel at my friend Edith's MIL's house and I love that saying. You can see it here.
Anyway, one of my sweet friends here in VA brought these lovely, happy flowers over the other day and I SO appreciate them. I've been struggling through some pretty hefty stuff lately and my friend has been there through thick and thin.
Thanks, Keva, and all you other friends/flowers out there who have been ready with cheerful smiles and encouraging words to help buoy me up. Your friendship means so much to me, and my garden is so much brighter because of you.
Even though there are still mountains of snow outside, I'm determined to bring spring into view. I just made this bag for my Mom, and I'm calling it the Fresh Start bag because of the lovely colors, among other reasons.
The inside fabric isn't from Flutterby, but since I have a love affair with polka dots I can't seem to make anything without polkas somewhere. So Mom gets to peek at happy, bright pink spots whenever she opens her bag, and I fulfill my commitment to polka dots. It's a win-win situation, don't you think?
