I hosted a cookie exchange for the ladies from church at my house tonight. It was so much fun!
These are pics of the Snowball cookies (AKA Russion Teacakes, or Mexican Wedding Cakes, or whatever other name you might have for them. I call them Yummy. My hips call them Growth Hormone) I made for the event. I put finely chopped pecans in half the batch, and
a scant 1/2 tsp of peppermint extract in the other half, with candy cane dust on top.
Mr. Snowman did a good job of holding that plate up.
Here's the table before the fun began, with lots of empty plates waiting to be laden with goodies. We all had a great time sampling the treats, then everyone took some paper plates and loaded up! I had plastic wrap, cellophane, ribbons, and gift tags ready for all the ladies to package their cookies up before they left so they could deliver the goods to friends and neighbors. It was a super fun way to get a great variety of Christmas cookies with very little effort! I highly recommend it.
When I was walking around taking photos of my friends, most of them protested and made me promise not to tag them on Facebook...but they didn't say anything about my blog! (insert evil laugh here) We made these three line up because the colors of their sweaters were just too perfectly Christmasy to not document. I suppose I'd better not post any more photos, because I didn't get anybody else's parental consent forms signed and dated. (wink) You can thank me later, dear friends.

LOVE Mr. Snowman! He is so cute. And I die for those cookies. My friend makes the every year ans I try t hide them from the rest of the family. Haha. Merry Christmas.
