Hyrum and Eliza both found 4-leaf clovers in our yard yesterday. They were so excited, and wanted to know when they were going to witness the newfound good luck manifested in their lives. Eliza wanted to take hers along with her to her soccer game on Saturday, but I assured her that the act of finding it was the lucky part, not carrying it around with her wherever she went.
Eliza flattened her clover in a book before I could take her picture with it, but here's Hyrum with his clover, as tickled as can be. I remember when I was a kid my best friend and I were searching for clovers in her front yard, and we found tons of mutant clovers with 4, 5, 6, up to 8 or 9 leaves on each stalk. At the time we thought it was the coolest thing ever, but in thinking about it now, I wonder what horrible thing was in the soil to make the clovers grow like that! Hhhmmm, maybe that explains a lot about why I am the way I am today..... :-)
Here's my little tornado doing what she does best. Hazel loves to get into the drawers in the kitchen, and today she decided to see how much foil was on that nice, compact little roll inside the box.
"Wow, mom, there's a lot of crinkly, shiny stuff in here! How does it do that?" thinks Hazel in wonder. Now the question is, what am I going to do with all that foil?
Eliza and Hyrum had a Play-doh fest yesterday. This was their wedding cake, and they informed me that the man represents Hyrum and there's an imaginary princess beside him (Eliza) and they're going to get married.
They spent a long time working together on this project, and hardly even bickered in the process, which I was very grateful for.
This is version #2 of same cake, this time minus the man and with the addition of several "candles", as represented by the assortment of plastic toys shoved into the top. Hyrum wanted me to be sure to include this in my blog, so there you go, my dear boy!
Here we have a pink-masked supergirl, AKA Eliza. She later decorated it all fancy, but I didn't get a shot of that. It was so fun watching them play with all their Play-doh, it brought back lots of memories of playing with it when I was a kid.
I've been working on finishing Hazel's room and making drapes for the front room (there's a tutorial coming!) so hopefully in the next few days I'll have some pics to share. Have a great day!
I see Eliza is wearing her Iroquois Point tee. Did she end up going there? I only noticed because Anne was wearing hers the other day. To bad they didn't get to go there together.

DO MAKE BIG BUCKS WITH ODD PLANTS.
For instance, have you noticed in the fruit bins those
flatened "Doughnut" peaches? In the past these would have been thrown out as unsalable, but now they are marketed as a unique plant/food.
