I thought I'd share the invites I'm making for a friend's baby shower. She loves red, and I thought I'd throw the pink in there too because I love that red+pink combo. Which is why this darling print from Sandi Henderson's Farmer's Market line is among my favorites. Sandi, by the way, just opened her own online store! You can check it out here.
The invites were very simple to do, if not a little time-consuming. I just cut 8.5" x 11" cardstock in half the long way to make the pieces 4.25" x 11", then folded it in half. Using a template I had created for the dress, I traced the dress outline onto all the folded cards, and cut them out, making sure to leave the top hinges at the shoulders. I trimmed the edges with decorative scissors, and punched holes in the paper with a tiny hole punch to make it look like lace. The flower is assembled with 2 die-cut shapes. Like I said, not exactly quick, but easy! :-)
For the inside, I just printed out the words in colored ink on white paper, making sure it would fit nicely inside the dress shape, trimmed the paper to size with a paper cutter, and adhered it to the cardstock. Done!

They are very cute Shelley! They do look time consuming but I bet they were fun to see come together. :0)
